The introductory handbook Theatre Work in Social Fields wants to contibute to the
theoretical foundation of an artistic and social work which is becoming accepted more and more. This is done by the development
of conceptional and/or theoretical basics under the points of view of a playful lifelong learning and by taking into
consideration health promotion and social field words with the means of theatre.
After that the practice of learning and teaching is described in a detailed way. Connected tightly to that are the
chapters sociocultural theatre forms and theatre work with and for special target groups. In these two chapters
things are treated in examples intentionally in order to facilitate the change to further practice for the readers. A list
of references gives hints going further than the literature used within the contributions.
In all the chapters the connection between theory and practice, like it was tried out in the european context, is kept.
